
Greer and Indendi Lead Women's Hoops to First Pac-10 Win over Washington

Seattle, Wash. – Redshirt sophomore Sage Indendi (Livingston, Mont.) and senior El Sara Greer (Waterloo, Iowa) combined for 27 of the Oregon State women's basketball team's 51 points to lead the Beavers to their first Pac-10 victory over the Washington Huskies, 51-46, in front of a crowd of 2,132 in Alaska Airlines Arena.
Greer tallied a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds, while Indendi scored a game-high 17, converting on five of seven attempts from beyond the arc.
The Beavers (8-14, 1-10) went inside early to Greer, who scored the team's first four points on easy layups before Indendi complemented Greer's work outside with five points of her own from outside to spark a 7-0 run between media timeouts to give Oregon State the 15-7 edge.
Coming out of the second media break, Greer hit one of two free throws to continue to build on the Beavers' lead followed by a wide open layup by sophomore Angela Misa (Oceanside, Calif.). The Huskies struggled from the field, scoring five points from the free throw line, hitting their last bucket at the 14:21 mark.
Washington (9-11, 4-7) ended the long drought with 3:10 left in the half to cut the Beavers' lead to 10 at 25-15. Oregon State led by as many as 13 at 25-12, holding a 28-19 advantage at the midway mark led by Indendi's eight points and Greer's six rebounds.
The Huskies cut into the Beavers' lead coming out of the break on back-to-back baskets to make it a six-point game at the first media break with 15:45 remaining. But Oregon State quickly built its lead back up to double-digits behind another Indendi three coupled with a freshman Alyssa Martin (Portland, Ore.) three-point play at 39-27.
Both teams struggled from the field for over four minutes of play before Washington put in a layup to make it 39-32, but Oregon State answered back in the form of Indendi's fourth three-pointer to build the lead back to double-digits.
In the final two minutes, Washington cut back into Oregon State's lead to make it a four-point game at 45-41 in the form of Regina Rogers' six points.
But Martin put the Beavers back up by six with 1:13 to play, converting on both of her free throws to make it 47-41, forcing Washington to have to start fouling to stop the clock. Down the stretch, Oregon State sunk six free throws to clinch the team's first Pac-10 victory.
Washington's Rogers led the Huskies with17 points and added 12 rebounds.
The Beavers shot 38.6 percent (17-44), while Washington shot 35.6 percent (16-45). The Huskies were held to just 28.6 percent shooting in the first half (6-21) – under 20 percent for the majority of the first 20 minutes. Oregon State scored seven three-pointers on 12 attempts to shoot a season-best 58.3 percent

· Indendi moves to No. 5 all-time for made three-pointers in a single season with five in the game, 58 total.
· With her three blocks in the game, senior El Sara Greer moves to eighth all-time on the career blocked shots list with 97 career.
· Greer tallied her 10th double-digit points game of the season, 11th career, with 10 points.
· Greer added a double-double night with 10 rebounds, marking her fifth of the season, sixth career.
· Oregon State is now 29-50 all-time against Washington, 11-26 in Seattle.
· Oregon State shot a season-high 58.3 percent from three-point range.
