2001-2002: Nash led the Oregon State freshmen with 18 starts in 28 games...made 17 consecutive starts in games he appeared in to end the season...averaged 5.7 points for the season, including 8.7 over the last seven games...shot .404 from the field, but his percentage climbed to .440 during his starting streak (44-100)...ended the year shooting .321 from three-point range, which included .500 (13-26) over the final nine games...he and former teammate Joe See started the initial game of the season, marking the first time a true freshman has been announced in the starting lineup since 1996-97...scored a career-high 18 points vs. Lehigh, and had double figure games vs. Washington State (14), Washington (13) and at Stanford (12)...averaged 26.9 minutes over his last 17 games after averaging 12.6 in his first 11...recipient of the program's Lew Beck Award (oustanding newcomer).
RANCHO VERDE: Nash averaged 32 points, eight rebounds and five steals as a senior...led Riverside County in scoring for the second consecutive year, after averaging 28 points as a junior...named the best pure shooter by the county's coaches for the third consecutive year...also was tabbed the "smartest player and the best clutch player" by the coaches...Riverside County First Team selection..team captain three years...MVP of the Sunbelt League as a junior and senior...all-county selection twice...all-state selection three years...scholar-athlete all four years.
