OSU HEAD COACH Jay John
(On the end to the season) "It is an extremely disappointing end to an otherwise wonderful season. This program made huge strides this season and there is absolutely no denying that ... In my second day on the job here I met everybody in the program, and it was not a happy program. These guys leave tonight sad and disappointed, but that is a short-term emotion. They have brought pride and energy back to a fantastic program. Somebody had to be the first (to turn things around) and these guys have done a great job."
(More on changing the program) "Our kids are part of changing the face of Oregon State University. This program has a pulse. It has energy and support. And it has room to grow."
OSU SENIOR FORWARD David Lucas
(On ending his career on a final shot) "It hurt. We played so hard, we came back in the second half, and then that shot. It hurt."
OSU SENIOR GUARD J.S. Nash
(On the Titans) "They just kept coming back and proved they're a good team."
(On the end of the game) "We definitely had a chance and we should have won. But they showed a lot of heart and character and now our season's over."
CSUF HEAD COACH BOB BURTON
(On the last minute shot) "We call it the taco, because I got it from North Carolina a long time ago and it's always been such a good play and I love tacos, so that's the reason we ended up naming it ... All it was was curling him off of a screen and let him go to work ... We wanted to go down to seven seconds on the clock and have Ralphy [Holmes] curl off of and get it to him because it's really hard to double in there."
(On beating a program like Oregon State) "Well this is just a great win for us. Oregon State is just like us; we're both excited to be here, and we're both going the same way."
CSUF SENIOR FORWARD RALPHY HOLMES
(On the game-winning shot) "We do this all the time in practice, to my teammates that's a regular shot for me ... I just elevated and tried to get a good shot off. It was a great shot for me, I guess ... It's like coach says, 'You live or die by that shot.' I was tired, too, so I had to hit it."
