EUGENE, Ore. (AP) - Luke Jackson scored 24 points and Oregon overcame a second-half deficit to beat rival Oregon State 81-74 Saturday in the 320th meeting between the two teams.
Although Oregon is coming off a loss to No. 2 Stanford, the Ducks (11-6, 6-4) have won five of their last seven games.
The Beavers (8-12, 2-8) have lost six straight overall, but won the last meeting with the Ducks 90-81 in Corvallis on Jan. 10. That victory snapped a nine-game Oregon winning streak in the series.
The Ducks have won the last 11 games against the Beavers at McArthur Court.
After trailing by as many as 11 points in the first half, the Beavers took a 50-42 lead on David Lucas' jumper. The Ducks did not score until 4:20 into the second half.
Jackson's momentum-shifting 3-pointer closed the gap to 61-58 for Oregon before Ian Crosswhite's free throws cut the Beavers' lead to a point.
Lamar Hurd answered with a layup for Oregon State, but Andre Joseph's 3-pointer tied it at 63.
The Beavers briefly regained the lead until Jackson's 3-pointer made it 66-65 and gave Oregon its first lead of the second half. Although Oregon State managed to tie it twice the rest of the way, the Beavers never reclaimed the lead.
Lucas led Oregon State with 20 points and eight rebounds.
Oregon jumped out to an early 15-8 lead on Jackson's layup of a perfectly placed pass from Jordan Kent, the son of Ducks coach Ernie Kent.
Crosswhite's layup and free throw extended Oregon's lead to 26-15 midway through the first half.
The Beavers got within 31-29 on Angelo Tsagarakis' 3-pointer. Kent answered for the Ducks with a basket, but Tsagarakis hit another pair of 3-pointers to give Oregon State a 35-33 lead - its first of the game.
The rivals traded the lead until Lucas' jumper and Jim Hanchett's foul shot made it 44-42 for Oregon State at halftime.
Crosswhite finished with 16 points and seven rebounds for Oregon.
Oregon State has not won at Mac Court since March 6, 1993.
