Paul H. Yager is a native of New York City and joined Oregon State after retiring from a 20-year career in the United States Army as an Aviation Operation Officer and UH-60 pilot.
He is a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. He received his Baccalaureates degree from CSU Sonoma in 1987, and a Masters in Public Administration from Wilmington College in 2001.
Yager has advised students with his experience working with ROTC students at Delaware (1998-2001) and Rhode Island (2006-2008). In 2000, he received the Leo A. Codd Award as the Best Army Instructor in the Nation.
Yager remains active in the community through his work with the Corvallis Association of the Mid-Willamette Valley Pop Warner League, and working with Adams Elementary School Parents and Teachers Association. He is also a member of the Corvallis Police Department Auxiliary. Yager is married to Charlene of Beaverton, Ore.; they have one son, Henry (Hank) and a daughter Elinor (Ellie).
