• Wrestled for Pleasant Hill as a freshman and sophomore.
• Posted a 39-3 record en route to beomcing the Class 3A 160-pound State Champion.
• Finished fourth at the Class 3A State meet at 126 pounds after finishing with a 36-5 record.
• Was a Triple-Crown State Champion as a sophomore.
• Also played football during his freshman and sophomore years.
