Coxed the Varsity 4+ to a second place finish at the Portland Fall Classic … coxed the V4+ to a win at the University of Victoria … coxed the Second Varsity 4+ to a second place finish at Gonzaga … coxed the 2V4+ at the Oregon State Classic … earned 2013 Pac-12 All-Academic Honorable Mention.

2011-12
Coxed the Varsity 4+ in wins against the University of Victoria and Gonzaga … earned 2012 Pac-12 All-Academic Honorable Mention.

2010-11
Rita coxed the Second Varsity 4+ in 2011 … coxed the 2V4+ to a second place finish at Gonzaga … coxed the 2V4+ at the Elk Lake Spring Regatta and against Washington State.

Daughter of Elizabeth and Paul … both of her parents are teachers … has four sisters, Carissa, Sara, Emily and Joelle … comes from a long line of Beavers including cousin Todd Sahlfeld who played for the OSU football team in the late 80’s … chose to attend Oregon State because of “the beautiful campus and the fact that I am a huge Beaver Believer!”… outside of rowing Rita enjoys knitting, rollerblading, and spending time with family and friends … majoring in exercise and sport science with an option in pre-therapy and allied health and a minor in public health … contemplating a career as a nurse or a high school health teacher.
