James Fulmer is entering his second year as a volunteer coach for the Oregon State men's crew after a successful two-year run as a member of the Beavers Varsity 8+ crew.
Fulmer came to Corvallis after a two-year stint at Rutgers University, where he began his collegiate rowing career. James chose to transfer to Oregon State. Outside of rowing, Fulmer still finds ways to make an impact. He was named the Community Service Chairman of the Oregon State Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) for the 2007-08 school year. Fulmer's efforts in the classroom his senior year were also rewarded when he was named to the 2008 Pac-10 All-Academic first team. Oregon State athletics honored Fulmer during the 2007-08 season by naming him an Everyday Champion.
