Michael Eichler Named Director of Rowing

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State's Michael Eichler has been named the Director of Rowing and will oversee both the women's and men's teams, Vice President and Director of Athletics Scott Barnes announced Wednesday.
Eichler, who has served as the head coach of the women's program since July of 2024, will have oversite responsibilities for both teams with the departure of Gabe Winkler.
"Michael has rapidly established himself in our program as an effective head coach and leader," Barnes said. "I have great confidence in Michael and look forward to the positive influence he will have as Director over both our men's and women's programs."
Eichler led the Beavers to a WCC Championship in his first year as head coach. He came to Corvallis in 2017 and served as an assistant coach at Oregon State until being elevated to associate head coach in September of 2022. He's also worked at Rutgers and Princeton.
