Women's Rowing Back On The Water Hosting Gonzaga This Saturday
OREGON STATE 2011-12 Coxed for the Varsity 4 at University of Victoria and Gonzaga, finishing first in both events.
2010-11 Rita coxed the Second Varsity 4+ in 2011 ... Coxed the 2V4+ to a second place finish at Gonzaga ... Also coxed the 2V4+ at the Elk Lake Spring Regatta and against Washington State.
FOREST GROVE HS Was a member of the tennis team for all four years.
PERSONAL Daughter of Elizabeth and Paul ... Both of her parents are teachers ... Has four sisters, Carissa, Sara, Emily and Joelle ... Comes from a long line of Beavers including cousin Todd Sahlfeld who played for the OSU football team in the late 80's ... Chose to attend Oregon State because "the beautiful campus and the fact that I am a huge Beaver believer!"... Outside of rowing Rita enjoys knitting, rollerblading, and spending time with family and friends ... Majoring in General Science ... Contemplating a career as a nurse or a high school health teacher.
