CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State volleyball is set to make its home debut this weekend, hosting the 2026 ASICS Invitational that will feature matches against California Baptist, Montana and Seattle U.

PUT 'EM ON NOTICE
AC Froehlich made a statement in her first official action as a Beav, totaling 44 kills in just 10 sets played, an average of 4.40 per set. Tallying a team-high mark for kills in each match, the Lafayette, La., native set a new career high with 18 in OSU's four-set victory over Utah Valley, hitting .349 to go with five digs and two blocks. For her efforts, Froehlich was announced as the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.

HELPING HAND
Joining Froehlich in earning a weekly award from the conference was Jackie Matias, who was named Pac-12 Setter of the Week as part of that same release. Originally from Honolulu, Hawai'i, Matias started her season with 110 assists (11.0 per set) across three appearances, which included a career-best 53 against Utah Valley to go with 12 digs, one kill and one block. With her performance, Matias became the first Beaver to tally 50-plus assists in a single match since Izzy Szulczewski was credited with 51 on Oct. 31, 2021, against Utah.

Now in her second season as a Beaver, Matias had assist totals of 31, 53 and 26 across the team's opening weekend of play and led the team with 27 total digs.

DE-FENSE
Alana Marrs' first three appearances of the 2026 season culminated in several strong performances, including a seven kill, eight block effort against Utah Valley that featured three solo and five block assists. The reigning conference Freshman of the Year, Marrs opened the season with eight kills and three solo blocks against Utah Tech before starting and playing in all three matches of the weekend, totaling 17 kills and 13 blocks.

As a freshman in 2025, Marrs finished with 220 kills and 104 blocks while hitting .361 across 28 matches and 98 sets played.

DOUBLE-DIGIT DEBUT
Aly Cox made an immediate impact for the team in its season opener against Utah Tech, earning credit for 11 assists, two digs and one kill in two sets of action. A Boise, Idaho, native, Cox transferred to Oregon State after two seasons in the West Coast Conference, where she had a standout sophomore season that culminated in 118 kills, 396 assists, 159 digs, 38 blocks and 27 service aces across 99 sets played for the Pacific Tigers.

HIT HARD
A First Team All A-10 Conference selection while playing at George Washington in 2025, Taylor Treahy played a pivotal role in the Beaver attack last weekend, ranking second on the team with 33 kills across 10 sets played. After tallying seven in the Beavers' season opener, the Santa Clarita, Calif., native had a tremendous performance against UVU, finishing the match with 17 kills, 14 digs and five block assists, tying with Froehlich for the team lead in overall points at 19.5. Named a Preseason Impact Player by the Pac-12, Treahy finished with at least seven kills in all three matches last weekend.

STARTING STRONG
After recording 40 kills and 26 blocks across 49 sets as a freshman in 2025, Cheyenne Green's sophomore season got off to a quality start in the Beehive State, playing 10 sets and putting up totals of 24 kills, eight digs and six blocks, which included a nine-kill performance against Utah Tech. She followed that up with 11 kills, five digs and three blocks in OSU's win at Utah Valley the next day and was one of seven Beavers to play in all 10 sets during the weekend's action.

ANOTHER ONE
For the second-consecutive weekend, Oregon State will face a team led by an alum. Matching up with Camilla Hafoka (née Ah-Hoy), a setter from 2006-09, and the Utah Tech Trailblazers to open the season, OSU will now face a Montana side led by Allison Lawrence, who was a starting outside hitter from 2001-04 that finished her career ranked fifth in program history for kills, seventh for digs and 10th for service aces.

MISCELLANEOUS NOTES:
- Froehlich, Cox and Treahy were three of a combined eight athletes to debut in Beaver orange over the weekend, a list that also includes Isabel Bertelsen, Taray Tela, Abby Lesagonicz, Beatrice Spada and Ivana Cvetkovic.

- Tela's debut in her home state culminated in seven kills against Utah Tech, following up that performance with five kills and four blocks during the Beaver win over Utah Valley.

- Against Utah last weekend, Cvetkovic set a new single match career high with five kills and finished the weekend with totals of nine kills (1.80/set) on a .600 clip, also contributing two blocks and one dig. Her hitting percentage is the top mark in the Pac-12 by nearly two tenths of a point.

A NEW ERA STARTS NOW
OSU is back in the Pac-12 after two seasons competing in the West Coast Conference, adding Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, Gonzaga, San Diego State, Texas State and Utah State to a conference that already included the Beavers and Washington State. Also new this season is the first ever Pac-12 Championship Tournament, which will take place the week of Nov. 23 on the campus of whichever team posts the highest first half conference winning percentage.
