CORVALLIS, Ore. – Taylor Treahy finished with 16 kills as Oregon State Volleyball swept the Portland State Vikings Friday night inside Gill Coliseum, winning 25-17, 25-17 and 25-14.

Averaging over five per set, Treahy's takeover cleared the next closest total by seven kills, as she hit .355 and added four digs, two blocks and two assists. A junior from Santa Clarita, Calif., she is now up to 92 kills on the season, averaging 3.54 per set, which ranks second on the team and sixth in the Pac-12.

AC Froehlich hit .467 across nine kills, and Taray Tela had several highlight-reel hits on her way to eight kills and five blocks. Jackie Matias recorded her fourth double-double of the season with 11 digs and 38 assists, also contributing a career-high five kills, while Cheyenne Green's Day ended with a line of five kills and one block across three sets played.

Defensively, Isabel Bertelsen was back in double-digits for the third-consecutive match, amassing 17 digs to go with four assists and an ace. As a team, OSU held Portland State to a .087 hitting percentage while finishing with 50 kills on 92 total attacks, a percentage of .435.

It was a match of runs early on, as the Vikings rattled off five-consecutive points early in the first, and after some back-and-forth action, a pair of 3-0 Oregon State runs split by one PSU point turned an 8-10 disadvantage into a 13-11 Beaver lead. OSU took control down the stretch on the backs of Tela, Froehlich and Treahy, who each totaled four kills on the way to a 25-17 set win.

Oregon State attacked early and often in the second set, building a 7-1 lead that included two Green kills and a block by Alana Marrs. Portland State fought back and brought the match within four points, but Marrs tallied two kills as part of a late 3-0 run to put OSU back up 20-12; the Beavers managed PSU's late attempt and won the set 25-17.

Treahy stole the show in set three, finishing with eight kills and two blocks. The Beavers built an early 9-1 advantage after Green and Tela block, continuing to attack and building a lead as big as 14 points when a Viking attack error made it 18-4. PSU then rattled off six in a row, but the Beavers used another 3-0 run and Treahy kill to take the set and match at 25-14.

Beaver volleyball will face No. 23 Oregon in Eugene on Sunday, returning home to open Pac-12 play against Washington State next Saturday at 1 p.m.
