Dax Whitney equaled an Oregon State single-game record with 17 strikeouts to pace Oregon State to a 3-1 win over Baylor Friday night in Round Rock. Whitney scattered two hits and a a walk in seven scoreless innings. Easton Talt, meanwhile, drove in the game-winning runs on a two-out, bases-loaded single in the ninth inning. Jacob Galloway drove in the game's first run on a sacrifice fly in the sixth inning. Isaac Yeager got one out in the eighth for the win, while Albert Roblez threw a scoreless ninth for his second save.
