Oregon State’s Season Comes To A Close In Cleveland

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Oregon State wrestling team saw its season come to a close Friday on the second day of the NCAA Championships at Rocket Arena.
The Beavers' four remaining entrants lost their first bouts Friday, eliminating them from further competition.
Ninth-ranked Maximo Renteria dropped a 5-3 decision at 125 pounds to No. 26 Cooper Flynn from Chattanooga. Renteria finished the 2025-26 season with a 21-5 record. Renteria went 1-2 in Cleveland, winning 8-7 over No. 24 Ayden Smith to open Thursday.
Nash Singleton saw his season end with a 16-9 record. He was ranked 24th at 141, losing to No. 23 Dylan Chappell from Bucknell. Singleton opened his NCAA Championships entry with an upset win over No. 9 Joey Olivieri Thursday.
Daschle Lamer, at 174 pounds, also picked up an upset to open his championships trip, defeating No. 13 Carter Baer Thursday. But Lamer dropped a 6-3 decision to South Dakota State's Moses Espinoza-Owens on Friday, and ends his season with a 21-5 record.
Justin Rademacher, ranked No. 6 at 197, finished his season with a 24-5 record. He opened with a win over No. 27 Gabe Arnold of Iowa, but saw his season come to a close with a 3-2 loss to No. 12 Luke Geog of Ohio State.
