Beavers Drop Roat Tilt at Nebraska

LINCOLN, Neb. – Oregon State women's soccer fell to the Nebraska Cornhuskers, 2-0, on Thursday night at Hibner Stadium.
Nathalie Lewis once again proved to be dangerous for the Beavers (0-3-2), leading the team with five shots, three of which were on target. Adele Schwab put both of her shots on target as OSU finished with five shots on goal across 10 total attempts.
The Beavers trotted out the same starting eleven that featured against New Mexico on Sunday, marking the first time this season that the team has had the same starters in consecutive games.
Mya Sanchez, Mia Erba, Kassidy Michael, Emily Ibsen, Rin Choi and Abbi Leonard started and the full 90 minutes while Avery Pleiman, Carly Carraher and London Tsuma all played key reserve roles, led by Tsuma's 52 minutes of action.
Both teams finished level n corner kicks attempted (five) while OSU baited the host offense into a pair of offside calls. The OSU offense forced five saves out of Nebraska's goalkeeper as the Cornhuskers took Thursday's result with goals in the 24th and 50th minutes.
Beaver women's soccer continues its trip to the midwest on Sunday at South Dakota State. Kickoff against the Jackrabbits is scheduled for 11 a.m. PT.
