Garcia Signs Contract with Cangrejeras de Santurce

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Following the conclusion of her career with the Beavers, Ellie Garcia has joined the professional ranks with Cangrejeras de Santurce in Puerto Rico.

Coming off All-WCC selections for both her work on the field and in the classroom, Garcia is set to join the San Juan-based club ahead of the season, which commences May 17th. Cangrejeras de Santurce competes in the 10-team Sóftball Superior Nacional Femino.

In 2025, Garcia was among the WCC's leaders in the circle, which saw the Californian record 94 punchouts as well as nine games with at least five punchouts. Garcia was a dependable arm who joined ahead of the 2023 season and helped the Beavers to some memorable upsets throughout her time wearing orange and black.
