Challenging Tests Await Beavs in Paradise

ST. THOMAS, U.S. Virgin Islands – Oregon State is on island time this week, taking on its first ranked foe of the season on Thanksgiving as a part of Paradise Jam.
The Beavers and Commodores will be appointment viewing as Beaver Nation digs into its Thanksgiving dinners at 5 p.m. PT. OSU will be looking for its first AP Top 25 win since the 2024 Sweet 16 victory over Notre Dame.
Depending on Thursday's results, Oregon State will square off with either BYU or Virginia Tech at 11 a.m. PT on Saturday. The Beavs are 7-4 all-time against the Cougars and would be facing VT for the first time.

Lara Alonso-Basurto, Cloe Vecina and Lucia Navarro make up the Spanish trio on Oregon State's roster. The latter duo were the first Spanish players at OSU under Scott Rueck, Navarro and Alonso played together during tryouts for the U20 Spanish EuroBasket team this summer.
FILLING IT UP
Tiara Bolden is one of 18 players and 10 guards in the country to be averaging 15 points on 50% or better shooting from the field and three-point range. Bolden leads the squad, averaging 17.8 points per game. With 20+ points against Illinois, Air Force and Utah State Bolden became the first Beav to have 20+ point games in a row since Raegan Beers in 2024. The last to score 20+ points in four straight games was Marie Gulich in 2018.

- Kennedie Shuler showcased why she's one of the nation's best distributors on Sunday, handing out 14 assists and nearing a single-game school record vs. LBSU
- The junior PG leads the WCC and is 15th in the nation with 6.3 assists per game, having reached 5+ dimes in five of six games thus far in 2025-26
- Shuler and the Beavers will be tested by their second power conference and first ranked foe of the season with no. 17 Vanderbilt on Thanksgiving
- OSU will need a steady hand from Shuler, high-level scoring from Tiara Bolden (17.8 ppg) and the best rebounding game of the season to knock off the Commodores, who rebound nearly 50% of their available misses (46.6 percent per Her Hoop Stats)
- Bolden scored 14 points on Sunday, her 5th game with 10+ this season after working with Scott Rueck to adjust her shooting form (58% FG, 50% 3PT) this summer
