Villa Notches Career-High in Loss to Rams

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State dropped its first game of the 2025-26 season on Friday in a 64-58 decision for Colorado State.

The Beavers shot worse than 50 percent and allowed above 40 percent shooting for the first time in the season. The Rams finished at 40.3 percent shooting while the Beavs shot 41.7 percent from the floor.

Jenna Villa had one of the best games of her career with 22 points, seven rebounds and five assists. The junior shot 6-for-10 from the floor, 4-for-6 from three and 6-for-7 from the free throw line. She was the only scorer in double figures for OSU.

Kennedie Shuler dished out five assists, her fourth game with five-or-more helpers this year. She also scored seven points and grabbed five rebounds.

The Beavers led 22-16 after one quarter, but the Rams chipped away for the remainder of the game. CSU won the following three quarters by four, five and three points, enough to eventually come away with the win.

Oregon State returns to Gill Coliseum on Sunday at 1 p.m. to take on Long Beach State. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
