Location: Paul Lorenz Field – Corvallis, Ore.

HOME AT LAST:
It's been over a month since Oregon State women's soccer last played a home game, hosting New Mexico on Aug. 31. With six consecutive road games accounting for nearly one-third of the schedule, kickoff on Saturday will mark exactly 34 days between home contests and set the stage for a home-heavy October, when the Beavs play four of six games at Paul Lorenz Field: Saturday against Portland, Oct. 12 against San Diego, Oct. 22 versus Washington State and Oct. 25 against Pacific.
CAPTIALIZING:
Adele Schwab scored for the first time this season in the 41st minute of the Beavers' last game, capitalizing on a scramble in the box off a corner kick before slamming it home with her left foot. Schwab, who joined the program last offseason after two seasons at Campbell, has started in all 10 games so far and is now tied for the team lead in total points (four) thanks to Sunday's goal and a pair of assists earlier in the year.
FIRST TIME FOR EVERYTHING:
Avery Pleiman notched the first point of her collegiate career at LMU, earning credit for the assist on Schwab's goal. A true freshman from Independence, Ky., Pleiman has been a key reserve for the Beavs this season, playing 235 minutes across nine appearances off the bench, and has two shots, both of which were on target.
CREATING CHANCES:
Oregon State out-shot LMU, 16-15, on Sunday, marking the third time this season that the Beavs have outshot an opponent, having previously done so against Idaho State (Aug. 28, 11-8) and New Mexico (Aug. 31, 17-12). Carly Carraher led the team in shots with five and was joined by Paola Figueroa (two), Alyssa White (two) and Rin Choi (two) as Beavers with multiple shot attempts. In addition, OSU held a 6-4 advantage on corner kicks, which was the second time in 2025 that the Beavs held an advantage in that category, having finished that Aug. 31 contest against New Mexico with an 11-7 advantage.
BALANCE:
Balance has been a key part of the Oregon State offense this season. Eight student-athletes have combined to score the Beavers' nine goals this season, while the team's seven assists have been made by five different players. The team-high tally in points, four, is a total shared by three different individuals (Carly Carraher, Nathalie Lewis and Schwab), while Alyssa White is not far behind with three. When it comes to creating scoring opportunities, Lewis leads the team in shots with 20 as there are five other athletes also in double-digits in that category: Carraher (13), White (12), Schwab (10), Rin Choi (10) and Paola Figueroa (10).
GREAT WALL OF MYA:
The momentum of a fantastic junior campaign has continued into Mya Sanchez's senior season, as the Turlock, Calif., native enters this weekend's contest as the West Coast Conference leader in saves, stopping 51 shots across 10 games and making five-plus saves in four of her last five appearances.
At her current rate, Sanchez is on pace for 96 saves, which would be the second most by a senior in a single season in program history, and she already holds second place in program history for saves in a single season by a junior. Additionally, if she finished the year with 96 saves, it would put Sanchez's career total at 205, which would rank sixth most in program history, above Elizabeth Pease and Hailey Coll but behind the likes of program legends such as Colleen Boyd, Bridgette Skiba and Bella Bixby (née Geist).
BEAVS IN THE PROS:
With Katie Godden (Charlton Athletic / England) and McKenna Martinez (Valadares Gaia / Portugal) each signing professional contracts after the conclusion of last season, Oregon State has officially sent six players into the professional ranks across the last four seasons. Led off by Laura Galceran and Bridgette Skiba in 2021, Reese Moffatt signed a deal in 2022 before Hailey Coll in 2023 and both Godden and Martinez in 2024.
In total, there are currently 10 former Beavers active in the professional ranks, playing in countries such as Portugal, Norway, Spain, England, Mexico and the United States; this list is highlighted by Bella Bixby (née Geist), who currently plays for the Portland Thorns of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL), but also includes Kate Evans (West Brom), Emma Jones (Portsmouth) and Greta Espinoza (Tigres).
BACK THE PAC:
Oregon State will play its final season in the West Coast Conference this fall before returning to Pac-12 play in 2026. All eight of the conference's other members, Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, Gonzaga, San Diego State, Texas State, Utah State and Washington State, sponsor women's soccer, each bringing a high level of talent to the conference. Utah State is the reigning Mountain West Tournament Champion, also winning the conference tournament in 2023, while Boise State was crowned regular season champion in 2024 after San Diego State was crowned regular season champions the year prior. Texas State is coming off a 12-win season that ended with a 3-2 loss in the Sun Belt Championship while Gonzaga was picked to finish third in the WCC.
