
Rademacher Wins Bronze at U20 Worlds

PONTEVEDRA, Spain – Needing just a little more than three minutes (3:22), Justin Rademacher finished his time in Spain at the U20 World Championships, clinching bronze via technical fall in freestyle.
Never trailing in the third-place match, Rademacher piled the pressure on his opponent, Greece's Nikolas Karavanos, as the bout never went to the second frame, ending early at 10-0. Two minutes into the match, Rademacher piled the points to 7-0 as he racked up three quick takedowns. At 3:22, his last takedown capped the match at the technical fall.

Rademacher cruised to the semifinals of the championships before Kazhakstan's Rizabek Aitmukhan defeated the Beaver sophomore after three consecutive wins. The tournament started in the most auspicious way for Rademacher with three consecutive shutouts to put himself in position for a podium finish.
The West Linn, Ore., product's bronze medal adds to a decorated 2024 which included a runner-up finish at the Pac-12 Championships, a NCAA Championships berth, NWCA Scholar-Athlete nod and a runner-up finish at the U.S. Open.
