August 23, 2024 | Wrestling
CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State wrestling team has added another student-athlete ahead of the 2024-25 season, rounding out the roster.
Moses Mirabal
Gilroy, Calif. (Gilroy HS) • 149/157 lbs.
Mirabal will bring a 41-3 mark to Corvallis and is coming off a CIF state crown, where he knocked off the eighth-best wrestler in California to put an exclamation mark on his high school career. Included in the 41 wins are 27 by pin, some of which happened in postseason competition. In addition to the state championship, he capped his prep time with a Central Coast Selection championship after also winning the regional at 144 lbs.
During his junior year, he helped lead Gilroy to a team win at the Louisiana Classic with an emphatic win by technical fall at 19-5 in the 144 lb. bout on his way to the individual title and then followed it up a year later with the same results.
The Beavers will fully turn their attention to the 2024-25 season, which starts later this fall.
