CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State added a versatile international forward to its 2024-25 roster with the addition of Lucia Navarro from Spain.
Navarro comes to OSU from Florida State, where she spent her freshman season, with three years of eligibility remaining.
"We are excited to add Lucia Navarro to our basketball family," Oregon State head coach Scott Rueck said. "She is a versatile forward who is an offensive threat from all over the court. Lucia has a strong pedigree from her time playing in Spain and we're excited to help her flourish in Corvallis. Her easygoing and fun nature makes her a perfect fit for our roster as well as our community and we are happy she chose to be a part of Beaver Nation!"
"OSU is a special place to be. The winning vision of the coaching staff and the great players they have developed throughout the years makes me really confident that this place is the right fit for me," Navarro said. "Moreover, OSU felt like home and I had a special connection with it during the entire process."
Navarro came to the United States from Spain, where she spent time with NB Paterna and Barca CBS in the Spanish professional leagues. In the her U18 league, Navarro averaged 14 points and 11 rebounds per game.
She saw time in five games as a freshman at FSU. Prior to coming to the U.S., Navarro was on the Spanish U18 team at the 2022 U18 European Championships.
Navarro is the first addition to the Oregon State program for 2024-25. She continues a long line of European Beavs that thrived in Corvallis.
