Chayse Gomez Leads Beavers At PING/ASU Invitational

PHOENIX, Ariz. – Chayse Gomez led the Oregon State women's golf team for the second-straight round at the PING/ASU Invitational on Friday.
The Beavers, competing in one of the best fields of the season, are in 14th place with a 13-over 288-301—589 at the par-72, 6,570-yard Papago Golf Club
The final round of the three-day, 54-hole tournaments begins at 8:00 on Saturday and live scoring is available golfstat.com.
Gomez birdied the par-3 161-yard fourth hole and added another birdie on the par-5, 525-yard 10th hole, putting her in a tie for 21st place with an even-par 70-74—144.
Sophomore Krya Ly is tied for 47th place with a 3-over 72-75—147, true freshman Raya Nakao is a stroke back with a 4-over 73-75—148 and Madde Sund sits at 6-over 73-77—150.
True freshmen Kelly Hope has posted scores of 77-80 and Rebecca Kim, who is competing as an individual, was two strokes better in the second round with a 79-77.
UCLA and Northwestern are tied for first place with a 7-under 569, and Ellie Bushnell of Oklahoma State holds the individual lead with a 7-under 68-69—137.
