
Track and Field Hits Road For Seattle, ABQ

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State track and field is back in action this weekend with the Beavs heading to Albuquerque and Seattle looking to post times with the best in the nation.

Most of the sprints and jumps squad will head to the Land of Enchantment while the pole vault and distance groups travel north to the Evergreen State.

LAST TIME OUT
Jada Hurley rewrote the Oregon State record book at the Riverfront Invite, setting new top times in the 60 meters and 200 meters over the weekend.

The junior from Grants Pass, Ore. topped the OSU charts in the 200 meters in 24.50 seconds on Friday before posting back-to-back PBs in the 60 meters on Saturday to rise to no. 3 all time at 7.59 seconds and then the top spot with a 7.51-second burst in her second race of the day.

The weekend closed with Adael Scatena and Hurley climbing up the 400-meter ranks. Scatena raced to the no. 3 spot all time in 56.07 seconds while Hurley entered the top 10 for the first time with a 57.03-second race, good for eighth.

Anneke Moersdorf opened the week finishing second overall and first among collegians in the pentathlon. Her 3,949 points were just off a personal best and have her in the hunt to qualify for indoor nationals.

2023 INDOOR IN REVIEW
Oregon State's 2022-23 indoor season was a showcase for the growth of the program since the hire of head coach Louie Quintana and his staff. The Beavers sent Kaylee Mitchell and Grace Fetherstonhaugh to nationals where they brought home three All-America honors. OSU also broke seven school records with six athletes rewriting the record books. The Beavers also had 22 new marks on the school's Top 10 list throughout the season.
