• Oregon State and the Pac-12 have come to a broadcast deal with FloWrestling this season.
• Every home dual as well as the Pac-12 Championships will be shown exclusively with FloWrestling.
Opener Notes
• The Beavers will see a top-two opponent in the home opener for a second consecutive season. Last season, Oregon State welcomed top-ranked Penn State for the lid-lifter.
• 2024-25 marks just the second time a Pendleton-led Beavers team will open the season at home. The 2021-22 squad opened their season with a home tri-meet against Campbell and Lehigh.
• The only repeat foe has been Lehigh (2021 and 2022) in the stretch of season openers.
In the Rankings
• As a team, the Beavers check in at the polls at:
• Intermat: 23 (dual), 25 (team tournament)
• FloWrestling: 24
• NWCA Coaches Poll: 23
• Maximo Renteria (125) and Trey Munoz (197) appear in both polls. In FloWrestling's poll, Renteria checks in at 13th and Munoz is slotted at fifth.
B1G-Time Matchups
• In the Pendleton era, Oregon State is no stranger to duals against Big Ten members.
• OSU will open up with a Big Ten opponent for the second year in a row and the third time since the 2009-10 season (a 22-13 win over Wisconsin in Gill Coliseum).
• Oregon State has faced either Penn State or Iowa every season since the 2021-22 campaign.
• Saturday marks the eighth all-time meeting between the Beavers and Hawkeyes. Iowa holds the 7-1 series lead.
• It will be just the second meeting against Iowa in Gill Coliseum since 2001, which was won by the Hawkeyes.
Ranked vs. Ranked
• This is the seventh ranked-vs.-ranked match for the Beavers since last season. Six of the seven came away from the comforts of Gill Coliseum, with one being at a neutral venue in Hillsboro, Ore.
• Saturday's dual will mark the second consecutive home opener against a ranked foe.
Beavers are One of One
• Oregon State is the only Division I program to have a medalist at the U20 Worlds this past summer in different competitions.
• Aden Attao (130 kg. /Greco-Roman) and Justin Rademacher (97 kg./Freestyle) won bronze medals.
