STARTING FIVE
BIG-GAME RAE
Raegan Beers put together the rivalry performance of legends on Sunday against Oregon. The sophomore put the Beavers on her back with 24 points and 17 rebounds, leading a 13-point comeback that turned into a 21-point rout.
BEAVS FROM OVERSEAS
Oregon State hopes that Dominika Paurovà (Czech Republic), Susana Yepes (Colombia), Kelsey Rees (Australia) and Martha Pietsch (Germany) are next in a long line of international Beavers to earn All-Pac-12 honors. Tanja Kostic (Sweden), a four-time all-league selection, was the first international Beav to be named All-Pac-12, followed more recently by players like Marie Gülich (Germany) and Ruth Hamblin (Canada), two centers who were named the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the year during their time in Corvallis.
Â
MICROWAVE SCORER
In AJ Marotte's three years at OSU, she's developed a reputation as a scorer who doesn't need long to heat up. The junior scored 17 points in the first half at Arizona last season, opened this season's UC Davis game with 10 points in the first quarter and scored a career-best 23 points in a win over Western Kentucky. Marotte is deadly from mid-range and her 3PT% has improved this year from 28.6% to 42.4%.
