Game Notes
- Oregon State closes out the month of September with a Friday night matchup against Utah at Reser Stadium. Kickoff is slated for 6 p.m. PT.
- The game will air live on FS1. Tim Brando (play-by-play) and Spencer Tillman (analyst) will call the action.

- Eleven of the series' 25 matchups have been decided by a touchdown or less.
- Two of the games in the series have gone to overtime: A 51-48 win by the Beavers in SLC in 2013, followed a year later by a 29-23 loss in two overtimes in Corvallis.
- Bill Enyart's 299 rushing yards against the Utes in 1968 remains the program's single-game standard.
- Sean Mannion's 443 passing yards against Utah in 2013, meanwhile, is the sixth-best single game mark in OSU history.
- Avery Roberts, now on staff as a graduate assistant for defense, totaled 21 tackles in the 2020 game in Salt Lake City.

Recapping Washington State
- Deshaun Fenwick's three rushing touchdowns marked the 31st time since 1996 that a Beaver has accomplished that feat. He is the first since Damien Martinez against Colorado last season and the seventh under head coach Jonathan Smith.
- Fenwick averaged 9.2 yards per carry, the 11th-best mark by a Beaver with at least 10 carries since 1996.
- His 38-yard rush for a score in the first quarter marked the longest carry of his career.
- Isaac Hodgins made a 4-yard reception in the second quarter. He is the first Beaver defensive lineman with a reception since Bill Swancutt on Nov. 20, 2004 against Oregon.
- Riley Sharp started his 25th career game but first as a tight end.
- Washington State's score to open the game was the first by an OSU opponent on an opening drive in 2023.
- The Cougars became just the third team to surpass 400 offensive yards against Oregon State over the last 17 games dating back to 2022.
- WSU also became the first team to score on back-to-back drives against the Beavers this season.
- The loss snapped a 13-game win streak for the Beavers when scoring at least 13 points. The previous loss came in 2019 when losing 54-53 at Washington State. OSU is now 40-8 when scoring 35 or more points in the Pac-12 era.

Against The Rush
- Washington State is the first team this season to tally 100 yards on the ground versus the Beavers, barely surpassing the threshold at 106. The Cougars are the first team to do so since Oregon finished the 2022 regular season at 143.
- OSU has gone six straight games without allowing an idividual 100-yard rusher. Arizona State's Xazavian Valladay was the last with 109 on Nov. 19, 2022.
- Oregon State has held opponents to 100 yards or less on tthe ground 19 times under Jonathan Smith, and is 12-7 when that happens. Fourteen of those 19 have come since 2021, with OSU going 11-3.

Ranked
- Oregon State is in a second consecutive top-25 matchup when the Beavers take on No. 10 Utah at Reser Stadium. The Utes' No. 10 ranking is Utah's highest leading up to the matchup with the Beavers.
- OSU, since 1991, is 0-6 against the Utes when Utah is ranked.
- The teams have never met with both in the AP Top 25.
- Oregon State is 2-8 against ranked teams under head coach Jonathan Smith, with both wins coming against Oregon.

Rushing Duo
- Damien Martinez and Deshaun Fenwick have combined for 11 straight 100-yard rushing efforts.
- Martinez had his streak of nine consecutive regular season 100-yard efforts with 81 against the Cougars. He has 432 yards on the season, and is averaging 7.6 yards per carry. He ranks first in the Pac-12 and is the lone back - one of 15 nationally - to have surpassed 400 yards this season.
- Fenwick, meanwhile, ranks eighth with 253 total yards, averaging 6.8 yards per carry.
- Oregon State, UCLA and California all have two running backs apiece ranking in the top 10 in the Pac-12.

Looking To Go 4-1
- Oregon State is looking to improve to 4-1 on the year for the second time with Jonathan Smith as head coach.
- The 2021 Beavers opened the season with a loss at Purdue, but won four straight with victories over Hawai'i, Idaho, USC and Washington.

Points
- Oregon State has scored 158 points this season, the most in the first four games under head coach Jonathan Smith.
- It's the second time under Smith that OSU has scored at least 25 in each of the first four, following the 2019 Beavers, who totaled 137 over that stretch.
- Oregon State's 35 points at Washington State were the most for the Beavers in a road conference game since OSU won at USC, 45-27, on Sept. 25, 2021.

Uiagalelei Scores
- DJ Uiagalelei rushed for a 26-yard touchdown against Washington State, and has scored in four games this season.
- He has five on the year, which ties him for second nationally among quarterbacks.
- He has scored at least one rushing touchown in seven consecutive regular-season games dating back to 2022 at Clemson.

- Friday's game matches the Pac-12's two best teams against the run. Utah ranks first, allowing 51 yards per game, while the Beavers are second at 69.75 per contest.
- The Utes have allowed two rushing scores, with the Beavers having given up three.
Opponents are averaging 2.02 yards per carry against Utah, while OSU allows an average of 2.43 yards per.
