
Distance Duo Qualifies for Indoor National Championships

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Kaylee Mitchell and Grace Fetherstonhaugh will head to Albuquerque to compete for a national championship after earning qualifying spots in the 2023 NCAA Indoor Track and Field National Championships.

Mitchell will compete in the mile and 3,000 meters while Fetherstonhaugh will compete in the 3,000 meters. Mitchell boasts the nation's 12th best time in the mile and 11th best in the 3,000m. Fetherstonhaugh owns the nation's 13th best time in the 3,000m.

The pair of Beavers will both be making return trips to the national championships. Both competed on Oregon State's All-American distance medley relay team last year and both earned All-American honors on their own in the 3,000 meters. Fetherstonhaugh will have a chance to be the first three-time indoor All-American in school history as she also was a second-team All-American in the 5,000 meters in 2020-21.

The 2023 NCAA Indoor Track and Field National Championships will be hosted by the University of New Mexico. The meet will be streamed on ESPN+ starting at 1:30 p.m. MT.
