
Oregon State Gets Last Chance in Seattle

CORVALLIS, Ore. – It's crunch time for Oregon State Track and Field as the Beavs look to post qualifying marks for the NCAA Indoor National Championships at the Ken Shannon Invite.

The Beavers will compete for those top marks beginning at 12:30 p.m. on Friday with the pentathlon 60m hurdles. Saturday's competition will open with the high jump at 10 a.m. Live results will be available here. Fans can stream the meet on Runnerspace.

LAST TIME OUT
Oregon State's three jumpers finished in the top-three of all three events they competed in on Friday at Arkansas.

The Beavs got a pair of runner-up finishes from Anneke Moersdorf in the long jump and triple jump. The redshirt junior moved into second on the Oregon State all-time list with a 6.05m/19-10.25 leap in the long jump. She also neared her own school record in the triple jimp with a 12.37m/40-7.

Emma Nelson recorded a third-place result in the high jump, passing the bar at 1.75m/5-8.75, just shy of her season high. Delaney Bahn, fresh off setting the school long jump record in Albuquerque, recorded a 4.81m/15-9.5 in the event.

NATIONAL RANKINGS
Entering the weekend, Oregon State has posted four qualifying marks for the 2022 NCAA Indoor Championships. The top-16 individuals and top-12 relays advance in each event.

Kaylee Mitchell is double-qualified individually with the no. 14 time in the mile and no. 10 in the 3,000 meters. Grace Fetherstonhaugh ranks 13th in the 3,000 meters and is just outside the field with the no. 31 time in the mile.

Moersdorf and Bahn are also within reach of a national championships appearance with top-50 marks heading into this weekend. Moersdorf's pentathlon of 3,983 ranks 30th while Bahn's long jump of 6.13m ranks 46th

The Beavs open the outdoor season on March 4 at Willamette. The indoor season's next step is the NCAA Indoor National Championships in Albuquerque, N.M. on March 10-11.
