Five Beavers Named Academic All-District

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Punter Josh Green, defensive lineman Isaac Hodgins, running back Jake Reichle, tight end Riley Sharp and outside linebacker Cory Stover have all earned Academic All-District honors, the College Sports Communicators announced on Tuesday.
To be eligible for the honor, student-athletes must maintain at least a 3.5 grade point average and play in at least 90 percent of their team's games, or start at least 60 percent. Freshmen are not eligible but transfers in their first season of competition can be selected.
Green is majoring in sociology, while Hodgins has a degree in speech communication. Reichle is majoring in construction engineering management, while Stover is in tourism, recreation and adventure leadership. Sharp has an undergraduate degree in marketing and Master's in Business Administration.
All five are now eligible to be named Academic All-Americans when those teams are released in January. Voting for the honor will be done through members of the College Sports Communicators, formerly CoSIDA.
