• With a win, it would mark the 25th ever 4-0 start for the Beavers - the first in the Chris Pendleton era and the first since 2007-08.

• Gabe Whisenhunt was named the NCAA Athlete of the Week and the Pac-12's Wrestler of the Week following the season's opening weekend. The Corvallis product stunned No. 4 - and two-time All-American - Sam Latona of Virginia Tech on the way to taking the 133-lb. crown at the Southeast Open.
