Adley Rutschman To Make MLB Postseason Debut Saturday

BALTIMORE – The American League Divisional Series is set and former Beaver backstop Adley Rutschman is set to make his MLB Postseason Debut Saturday when his Baltimore Orioles host the Texas Rangers.
The Orioles' postseason opener is slated to begin at 10 a.m. PT Saturday, and will air live on FS1. Game two is set for Sunday at 1 p.m. PT, on FS1, and game three, in Arlington, will be played Tuesday at 5 p.m. on FOX.
Should the best-of-five series advance further, game four, also in Arlington, will be played Wednesday at a time to be determined. A game five, back in Baltimore, would be played Friday, Oct. 13. Games four and five will be on either FOX or FS1.
Rutschman lettered for the Beavers from 2017-19, and was named the College World Series Most Valuable Player in 2018 as Oregon State won the National Championship. He was then taken No. 1 overall by Baltimore in the 2019 MLB Draft.
The Sherwood, Ore., native played in 154 games for the Orioles in 2023. He batted .277 with 31 doubles, a triple, 20 home runs and 80 runs batted in.
Oregon State may have a second Beaver from the 2018 National Title team in the postseason should Trevor Larnach be named to the Minnesota Twins' ALDS roster. He was, unfortunately, not on the Twins' roster for the wild card games against Toronto.
Larnach played in 58 games for the Twins in 2023, batting .213 with seven doubles, three triples, eight home runs and 40 RBI.
Should Larnach be on the ALDS roster, OSU fans can follow him and the Twins below.
