CORVALLIS – Oregon State standout Jordan Pope has been named Pac-12 Freshman of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.
The award is the second Freshman of the Week honor for Pope, as he joins UCLA's Andrew Bailey and Adem Bona as players to earn the recognition twice this season.
Pope scored 19 points in Oregon State's win over California on Sunday, shooting 8-for-12 from the floor and dishing out four assists. The guard also tallied eight points and five rebounds Thursday at Stanford.
On the season, Pope is averaging 12.4 points per game, and is shooting 44.3 percent from the floor. He leads the conference's freshmen in both points and assists.
The Beavers will return to Gill Coliseum Thursday when Utah visits Corvallis.
