Patrick and Gavin Earn All-Pac-12 Honors

CORVALLIS – Oregon State men's rowers Nils Patrick and Tristan Gavin have both earned All-Pac-12 honors, the conference office announced Friday.
Gavin earns the recognition for the second-straight season, as he competes in his third season with the Beavers. He has been in the Varsity 8 for every race this spring, including at last weekend's Pac-12 Championships where the boat placed fourth. Gavin was in the V8 that topped Georgetown earlier this spring, and earned the Benny Award for Team MVP last year.
Patrick has joined Gavin the Varsity 8 for every race this spring. He was in the 2-seat for the Beavers at Pac-12 Championship, and helped the V8 top Georgetown earlier in the year. Patrick also took part in every Varsity 8 race last season, and is nearing the end of his fifth season with the team.
As a team, the Beavers placed third at Pac-12 Championships for the second-straight season. Oregon State has earned a spot at the IRA National Championships, with the team's Varsity 8, JV8 and 3V8 all slated to compete from June 3-5.
