Munoz Named Pac-12's Wrestler of the Week

SAN FRANCISCO – Following a 3-0 performance in the National Duals in New Orleans, Trey Munoz was tabbed as the Pac-12's Wrestler of the Week.
The Mission Viejo, Calif., native's time in Louisiana was highlighted by an 8-4 win by decision over fourth-ranked Marcus Coleman of Iowa State. His other wins included a major decision and a fall. Ranked seventh by FloWrestling and 11th by Intermat, Munoz holds a 15-3 record this season with a pair of ranked wins.
No stranger to awards from the Pac-12, Munoz won the league championship last season in the 184 lb. weight class.
Additionally, he is the second Beaver to be presented with the honor – Cleveland Belton was named the Pac-12's best following the first week of action.
Munoz and the Oregon State Beavers will host Oklahoma State on January 8th at noon for the first dual of 2023.
