December 12, 2022 | Women's Soccer
CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State women's soccer team signed Katie Godden to the 2023 team on Monday as a transfer student-athlete.
"Katie is coming to us with a wealth of experience, internationally and collegiately," said head coach Lauren Sinacola. "Her skillset will be very influential in how we attack and combine in the final third. We can't wait for her to join us in the new year."
The forward from Surrey, England, will join the Beavers from DePaul in 2023.
She led the Blue Demons' offense a season with 17 points from seven goals and three assists on a team-best 12 shots on net and 25 shots. In DePaul's final seven matches of the season, she scored in six and included the match-winner over Seton Hall. Her offensive efforts led her to a first team All-Big East selection.
Off the field, she was tabbed to College Sports Communicators' Academic All-District Team for her work in the classroom.
Godden tallied her first collegiate goal in the 2021 finale at Marquette. Her freshman campaign ended with 18 shots, nine of which were on frame and totaled 949 minutes on the pitch.
A dual national of Australia, Godden was selected to the Young Matildas' U20 Training Camp in New South Wales ahead of the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup and named to the extended squad. In England, she has competed in the FA Championship for Charlton Athletic as well as for Arsenal's U21 squad.
