Â
The win marks the first for the Beaver road victory over the Trojans since 1960, and Oregon State's first victory in a Pac-12 opener since 2013. The Beavers are now 3-1 on the season after recording their first three-game winning streak since 2014.
Â
Oregon State scored on seven of its 10 possessions, recording its most points ever against USC. The Beavers have now surpassed the 40-point mark in three-straight games for the first time since 2013.
Â
B.J. Baylor ran for 158 yards, bringing his season total to 424 yards on the ground. Overall, nine Beavers combined for 319 ground yards in the contest. Chance Nolan completed 15 of his 19 pass attempts, going for 213 yards and four touchdowns.
Â
Tyjon Lindsey had a big game from the receiver position, finishing with five catches for 102 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Tre'Shaun Harrison tallied four receptions for 54 yards and a score.
Â
Jack Colletto contributed on both sides of the ball, rushing for two touchdowns and coming up with an interception in the closing moments of the contest. Avery Roberts led the Beavers with 10 tackles, his third double-digit tackling effort of the year. Alton Julian and Rejzohn Wright both came up with interceptions.
Â
The Beavers struck first, taking an early lead on a touchdown strike from Nolan to Teagan Quitoriano just over five minutes into the game. The Trojans answered with a pair of touchdowns to go in front 14-7, but Nolan capped off a 92-yard Oregon State drive with a touchdown pass to Lindsey. The Beavers followed that up with another 92-yard touchdown drive, this one ending on a 36-yard score by Harrison. OSU headed to the break in front 21-17.
Â
Oregon State kept things rolling in the second half, as Lindsey notched his second score of the game on the third quarter's opening possession. The Beavers didn't look back from there, leading by as many as 25 on their way to an 18-point victory.
Â
The Beavers will return home next weekend for a matchup with Washington.
