Oregon State takes fourth-straight victory

The victory is the fourth in a row for the Beavers, who now sit atop the Pac-12 standings with a 2-0 mark in conference play. Oregon State trailed by seven in the fourth quarter, but a B.J. Baylor touchdown followed by a vital defensive stop set up the game-winning drive.

Baylor rushed for 111 yards and a pair of touchdowns, bringing his season total to nine scores. Deshaun Fenwick recorded 70 yards on the ground, while Chance Nolan ran for 30 yards.

Avery Roberts tallied 16 tackles, his fourth double-figure tackling game of the year. The linebacker also notched the first interception of his Oregon State career. Jaydon Grant had seven tackles and forced a fumble in the contest.

As a team, Oregon State rushed for a total of 242 yards. The Beavers held Washington to 142 yards through the air, and 318 yards total.

Washington jumped in front early, finding the endzone on its first possession of the game. Oregon State leveled the score in the second quarter, capitalizing on a Washington turnover with a Jack Colletto touchdown. The Beavers followed that up with a Baylor rushing score to take a 14-7 advantage.

The Huskies were able to muster a field goal before the break, as Oregon State headed to the intermission in front 14-10.

The Beavers brought the lead back to seven with a field goal 10 minutes into the second half. Washington scored a pair of rushing touchdowns in a span of under 30 seconds of game time to pull in front 24-17 with 10 minutes to play.

The Husky advantage we short-lived, as Baylor evened things up with a 27-yard touchdown scamper less than four minutes later. The Oregon State defense came up with an important stand with just over three minutes to play, forcing Washington to turn the ball over on downs. Hayes proceeded to hammer home a 24-yard field goal

The Beavers will head to the Palouse next weekend for a matchup with Washington State.
