To 550
• Oregon State's pitchers tallied six strikeouts on Friday night, pushing the team's total to 550 this season. That's the second-most in a single season, trailing only the 2018 club's 596.
• Oregon State has recorded those 550 strikeouts in 493 1/3 innings. That's an average of 10.03 per nine innings, which leads the Pac-12.
• Oregon State also now leads the Pac-12 with a 3.47 earned run average.
Claunch Makes It 16
• Troy Claunch extended his hit streak to 16 games with a sharp single in the fifth inning. It's the longest streak by a Beaver since Steven Kwan also hit safely in 16 straight and Cadyn Grenier tallied 27 in 2018.
• Claunch is 25-for-63 (.397) during the streak. He has five doubles, three home runs and 12 runs batted in during the streak.
Meckler's Snapped But Reached Again
• Wade Meckler saw his 10-game hit streak snapped Friday but he did draw a walk and has now reached base safely in 18 consecutive games.
• That streak started April 18 versus California.
Singles
• Kyle Dernedde made his first appearance since April 20 and his first Pac-12 game since April 2 against Utah. He nearly hit a home run in his lone at bat, a ball that was caught at the warning track in left field.
• The series victory for Stanford is its first versus the Beavers in a three-game set since 2010. It's the first at Sunken Diamond since 2003.
• Will Frisch lowered his ERA to 2.17 with three scoreless innings of relief. It is now 1.16 in Pac-12 play. Conference foes are hitting just .170 against him.
