Garret Forrester hit a ninth-inning home run and Oregon State had two on later in the inning but the Beavers were edged by Santa Clara, 10-9, Tuesday night at Goss Stadium. Andy Armstrong finished 3-for-4 and Ryan Ober was 2-for-3 to pace Oregon State, which finished with nine hits. The teams combined for 19 runs on 21 hits with 11 walks and three hit by pitches. The teams also used a combined 11 pitchers.
