Beavers Travel to Utah for Pac-12 Championships

CORVALLIS, Ore. - The Oregon State women's cross country team is set for the Pac-12 Championships, hosted by Utah at Regional Athletic Complex in Salt Lake City, Utah on Friday. The women's 6K is scheduled for 10:10 a.m. PT, following the men's 8K. At approximately 11 a.m. PT, there will be a recognition ceremony for athletes who have earned All-Pac-12 honors. The meet will be broadcasted on the Pac-12 Network. Last Time Out
Oregon State split the squad to compete at the Nuttycombe Invitational in Madison, Wis. on Oct. 15 and Lewis & Clark Invitational in Estacada, Ore. on Oct. 16. At the Nuttycombe Invitational, hosted by Wisconsin, the Beavers finished 27th in the team standings with 690 points, climbing three spots from where they'd finished at the 2019 meet. Redshirt sophomores Kaylee Mitchell and Grace Fetherstonhaugh set pace for the Beavers, clocking times of 20:48.9 and 21:09.5 to place 42nd and 76th, respectively.Â

OSU finished fifth overall with 176 points at the Lewis & Clark Invitational, hosted by Lewis & Clark College. Redshirt freshman Emily Foote led the pack, clocking a 6K personal best of 22:24.4 to place 23rd. Stopping the clock with a personal best of 22:49.1, Aleen Golla placed 32nd.Â

Last Time at the Pac-12 Championships
On Mar. 5, 2021, No. 24 Oregon State earned its best team finish in program history, taking fourth with 100 points in University Park, Wash. No. 5 Stanford took the team title with 30 points followed by No. 6 Colorado (50 points), and No. 12 Washington (85 points). Mitchell was the first Beaver to cross the finish line with a time of 19:39.4 to place seventh. Batya Beard finished 19th with a time of 20:06.8 and Fetherstonhaugh stopped the clock with a time of 20:11.3 to place 22nd.
