Beavers Defeat Utah to Remain Unbeaten at Home

Oregon State moves to 5-2 on the year, 4-0 at home

The Beavers trailed 24-14 at halftime, but out-scored the Utes 28-10 in the second half to secure the win.

B.J. Baylor rushed for 152 yards and a touchdown, part of Oregon State's 262 total rushing yards. Trevon Bradford scored a pair of touchdowns, one on the ground and one through the air. The receiver finished with 74 yards receiving as he became the 18th player in program history with 1,500 career receiving yards.

Tre'Shaun Harrison recorded 72 yards receiving, including a 54-yard fourth-quarter catch to help seal the victory. Chance Nolan went 14-for-19 passing, passing for 208 yards and a pair of scores.

Avery Roberts finished with 16 tackles, his sixth double-digit tackling game of the season. Omar Speights recorded nine tackles.

Utah scored on its first two possessions to take an early 14-0 lead. Oregon State answered with a touchdown drive of its own, capping off a 75-yard possession with a 15-yard Anthony Gould touchdown rush.

The Utes opened the second quarter with a field goal, but a 68-yard Baylor rush set up a Jack Colletto touchdown reception to bring the Beavers within three.

Utah scored just before the half to head to the intermission in front 24-14.

Oregon State struck quickly in the second half, as Bradford found the endzone on the first possession of the third quarter to get the Beavers back within three points. The Oregon State special teams came up with points on the ensuing possession, as Luke Musgrave blocked a punt and proceeded to return it for a 28-yard score to put OSU in front 28-24.

Following scores by Bradford and and Baylor, Oregon State took a 42-31 advantage with just under 10 minutes to play. The Beavers held Utah to just three points in the closing period to lock down the win.

Oregon State is now undefeated through its first four home games for the first time since 2012.

The Beavers will hit the road next weekend for a matchup with California.
