Beavers Place Fifth at Lewis & Clark Invitational

ESTACADA, Ore. – The Oregon State women's cross country team placed fifth in the team standings with 176 points on Saturday at the Lewis & Clark Invitational, hosted by Lewis & Clark College at Milo McIver State Park in Estacada, Ore.
"We were fifth today and raced awesome," said head coach Louie Quintana, "We really competed well. This group is coming along nicely. Eimy Martinez raced unattached and was really poised and showed some veteran presence beyond her years. Great day overall."
Redshirt freshman Emily Foote led the Beavers, crossing the finish line to clock a 6K personal best of 22:24.4 to place 23rd. Freshman Aleen Golla posted a personal-best of 22:49.1 to finish 32nd. Sophomore Libby Rinck clocked a time of 23:08.5 to place 48th and redshirt freshman Isabella Ayala followed close behind to take 49th with a personal-best of 23:09.3.
Competing unattached, freshmen Eimy Martinez and Grace Rubio clocked times of 21:59.8 and 22:53.1 to place 14th and 35th respectively.

Oregon State will compete at the Pac-12 Cross Country Championships on Oct. 29 at the Regional Athletic Complex in Salt Lake City, Utah. The women's 6K is scheduled for 10 a.m. (PT) and the meet will be broadcasted on the Pac-12 Network.
