Beavers Split Squad for Weekend Action

CORVALLIS, Ore. - The Oregon State women's cross country team is set to split the squad this weekend to compete in Friday's Nuttycombe Invitational in Madison, Wis., and Saturday's Lewis & Clark Invitational in Estacada, Ore.Â

The Nuttycombe Invitational, hosted by Wisconsin at the Thomas Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course, will start with the women's 6K B race at 9 a.m. (PT), and the women's 6K championship race to follow at 10:20 a.m. (PT). No. 30 ranked Oregon State will join a field of competition will include Air Force, Boise State, Butler, No. 2 BYU, Columbia, No. 21 Colorado State, No. 26 Connecticut, No. T28 Furman, Gonzaga, Harvard, Illinois, No. 21 Indiana, Iona, No. 22 Iowa State, No. 17 Michigan State, No. 6 Minnesota, Missouri, No. 1 NC State, No. 3 New Mexico, No. 23 Notre Dame, No. 13 Oklahoma State, Oregon, No. 18 Portland, No. 19 Providence, Purdue, Southern Utah, No. 9 Stanford, Syracuse, Tulsa, UMass Lowell, UNC, Utah State, No. 20 Villanova, No. 7 Washington, Washington State, West Virginia, and No. 25 Wisconsin.

The Lewis & Clark Invitational, hosted by Lewis & Clark College, will be held at Milo McIver State Park in Estacada, Ore. The women's 6K will start at 11:15 a.m.Â

Oregon State finished fourth in the team standings with 123 points at the Charles Bowles Invite, hosted by Willamette in Salem, Ore. on Oct. 2. Freshman Aleen Golla set pace for the Beavers, clocking a 5K personal-best time of 18:26.9 to place seventh. Redshirt freshman Emily Foote and sophomore Libby Rinck were next to cross the finish line, clocking times of 18:54.9 and 18:55.5, respectively.Â

The Beavers competed at the Nuttycombe Invitational on Oct. 18, 2019, finishing 30th in the team standings with 708 points. Lexi Reed clocked a 6K time of 21:19.7 to finish 108th in the championship race.Â

Representing Oregon State at the Lewis & Clark Invitational on Oct. 19, 2019, Annika Sundstrom placed 56th with a 6K time of 24:15.3. Running unattached, Alyssa Foote placed second with a time of 21:55.7.Â
