Listen To Josh Osich’s 2011 No-Hitter Thursday On Twitter, Facebook
April 08, 2020 | Baseball
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State baseball fans can take a step back into the past Thursday when the team will re-play the radio broadcast Josh Osich's 2011 no-hitter versus UCLA on social media. It's an Oregon State baseball Classic Re-Broadcast presented by Safeway.
The game against the Bruins will air on Oregon State baseball social media channels (BeaverBaseball on Twitter and Oregon State Baseball on Facebook) starting at 2 p.m. PT.
Osich and the Beavers defeated UCLA 2-0 on April 30 in 2011 at Los Angeles' Jackie Robinson Stadium. Osich out-dueled fellow future Major Leaguer Trevor Bauer to improve to 6-1 on the year.
Osich was just one walk away from a perfect game; he issued a fourth-inning base on balls to Dean Espy. The Beavers, meanwhile, managed just four hits off Bauer, one of which was a sixth-inning double by Kavin Keyes that scored both Jared Norris and Ryan Barnes.
The game featured 28 strikeouts; 13 by Osich and 15 by Bauer. Both pitchers went the distance in a game that lasted just two hours, eight minutes.
