March 31, 2020 | Women's Gymnastics
SAN FRANCISCO – Eleven Oregon State gymnasts were named to the Pac-12 Winter Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the Conference on Tuesday. The Beavers' 11 honorees tied with Arizona for the most in the conference.
To be eligible for the team, student-athletes must have a 3.30 cumulative GPA and have a minimum one-year residency at the institution. The Honor Roll is a new initiative by the league that takes the place of the former academic first team and second teams.
The Beavers' 11 gymnastics honorees include Halli Briscoe (Master's in Organizational Leadership), Lacy Dagen (Sociology), Madi Dagen (Digital Communication Arts), Savanna Force (Kinesiology), Lexie Gonzales (Digital Communication Arts), Lena Greene (Bioengineering), Jaime Law (Design & Innovation Management in OSU's Honors College), Maela Lazaro (BioHealth Sciences), Isis Lowery (Human Development and Family Sciences), Kristina Peterson (Human Development and Family Sciences) and Colette Yamaoka (Biology).
The trio of Briscoe, Lazaro and Lowery, were honored with their third Pac-12 academic award in their careers, while Lacy Dagen, Force and Yamaoka each received recognition for their class work for the second time. Madi Dagen, Gonzales, Law and Peterson are first time honorees.
The Winter Academic Honor Roll includes student-athletes who participated in the Conference-sponsored sports of men's and women's basketball, gymnastics, men's and women's swimming and diving, and wrestling.
