2021: 'Hit' six out of eight routines. Regular season: Performed on beam in eight meets, with two exhibitions on beam and one exhibition on vault ... posted a career-high 9.875 on beam at Stanford (3/14). Championship season: Recorded a 9.725 on beam at the Pac-12 Championships (3/20) ... scored a 9.750 on beam at the NCAA Athens Regional (4/2).
2020: ‘Hit’ both of her routines in 2020 … earned Pac-12 Winter Term Honor Roll. Regular season: Performed in the vault lineup in the Beavers’ first two meets of the season … posted a season-best 9.65 on vault against Centenary & Seattle Pacific (1/11) … performed eight exhibitions as a primary backup on vault and balance beam … topped out with a 9.825 vault exhibition against Washington (3/6) … earned Pac-12 Winter Term Honor Roll … created a travel VLOG for Beaver road trips while interning for OSU Athletics’ Ideation Team.
2019: ‘Hit’ three out of four routines in 2019. Championship season: Lexie was inserted into the balance beam lineup for the first time in her career at the NCAA Corvallis Regional Second Round (4/5), scoring 9.20. Regular season: Scored a career-best 9.725 on the vault at Washington (1/26) … made her college debut in the vault lineup at Illinois (1/13) scoring 9.675 … made four exhibition vaults with her top scores of 9.750 coming at Arizona State (2/22) and again in OSU’s quad meet with Iowa, North Carolina and Seattle Pacific (3/15) … exhibitioned on the beam twice with a top score of 9.775 at Washington.
2018: Did not compete as a freshman.
PREP CAREER: Trained at Wildfire Gymnastics under coaches Whitney Watson, Rick Watson, Hailey Watson, Stephanie Calvert and Tom Wakeling … finished first on the floor exercise state and second on vault at the Palm Springs Cup in 2016 … placed fourth on vault and fifth on floor at the Southern California Level 10 State Championships in 2014.
PERSONAL: Born in Newport Beach, Calif. … daughter of Christine and Ruben Gonzales … has a sister, Sydney, who will join the OSU gymnastics program in the fall of 2020 … enjoys baking cookies and being an ‘Instagram queen’ … chose Oregon State because “I love the community and the school’s family feel. Also my club coach, Whitney Watson, is an OSU gymnastics alum and loved her experience” … majoring in digital communication arts.
