Ethan Thompson Earns Preseason All-Pac-12 Recognition

It’s the second straight year Thompson was selected to the preseason All-Pac-12 Second Team.
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Ethan Thompson was named to the preseason All-Pac-12 Second Team as selected by the media, the conference office announced Thursday.

Thompson, a senior from Los Angeles, Calif., has started all 84 games in his career and has scored 1,199 points, the 24th most in Oregon State history. He has increased his assists and steals numbers all three seasons and enters his senior campaign with 371 dimes and 93 steals.

Last season, as a junior, he averaged 14.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 1.3 steals and 0.2 blocked shots in 35.4 minutes per game. The 6-foot-5 guard finished 12th in the Pac-12 in scoring, fifth in assists, sixth in assist/turnover ratio (1.65) and third in minutes (35.4).

In three years at Oregon State, Thompson has been named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court two times, earned Pac-12 All-Academic honors twice, was selected to the CoSIDA Academic All-District® 8 First Team, and received an Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar Award for his excellence in the classroom, the athletic field and a commitment to community service and student leadership.
