Beavers Open Practice for 2020-21 Season

Oregon State holds first training session of season
CORVALLIS – The Oregon State women's basketball team officially opened practice for the 2020-21 season Wednesday afternoon at the OSU Basketball Center.

The Beavers are preparing for the upcoming campaign, which is slated to open on Nov. 25. Oregon State's nonconference and Pac-12 schedules will be announced at a later date.

OSU went 23-9 last season, and was poised to be selected as a likely host for the first and second rounds of the NCAA Tournament, prior to the event's cancellation.

The Beavers will be led this season by senior Aleah Goodman, who is fourth in program history in career 3-pointers and first on Oregon State's career 3-point percentage list. She will be joined by redshirt-junior Taya Corosdale, who missed the majority of last season due to injury. Corosdale averaged 7.8 rebounds per contest in her sophomore campaign and played every minute of the Beavers' NCAA Tournament run that season.

Taylor Jones will head into her sophomore campaign after earning Pac-12 All-Freshman honors in 2019-20. The 6-foot-4 forward averaged 12.3 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per contest last season.

Five newcomers will join the team for this season, including senior transfers Ellie Mack from Bucknell and Jovana Subasic from Washington State. Freshmen Ana Teresa Faustino, Sasha Goforth and Savannah Samuel will also hit the floor at Gill Coliseum in the upcoming season.

Oregon State is one of the most successful women's basketball programs of the last decade, having appeared in every WBCA Coaches Poll since the end of the 2013-14 Season. The Beavers have made the last four Sweet 16's and the last six NCAA Tournaments, including a Final Four appearance in 2016.
