Get to Know Rylee Maston

The fourth newcomer you should get to know on the 2020 Oregon State softball roster is Rylee Maston. Rylee is a transfer from Arizona State University that was named Softball Scholar Athlete in 2017-18. A Lancaster, Calif. native, Rylee is a catcher.
What is your favorite thing about Oregon State?
My favorite thing about Oregon State is my teammates and coaches!
How would you describe what it's like playing for Coach Berg and her staff?
Playing for Coach Berg and her staff is amazing! It is a warm environment that will push you to be your best self, student, teammate and athlete!
At what age did you know you wanted to play softball in college? What made you realize that?
I wanted to play softball in college from a young age. I realized this when I watched the Women's College World Series and knew I wanted to be on that field winning the National Championship!
What is your major and what do you enjoy about it?
I am double majoring in both Kinesiology and Human Development and Family Science. I enjoy learning about the anatomy of the body and way to help people in many ways!
Who has had the biggest influence on your softball career?
My dad has had the biggest influence in my softball career pushing me to be better every day and helping me reach my goals.
What is the best thing about living in Corvallis?
It is a beautiful green campus with wonderful people!
What is your favorite homemade meal?
Chicken enchiladas
What is your favorite zoo animal?
Dolphin
If you could have dinner with any person, dead or alive, who would it be and why?
Matthew McConaughey because he gives great motivational speeches, all right all right all right!
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
On a beach
